Because Im in a specific mood... Those laughing at the "snowmaggedon preppers" Note, if your area has snow constantly you have proper winter infrastructure, the "lawl 2 days and clean streets" is NOT the norm, many go 4-5 days, many are disabled, elderly. You are not the only one out there, be safe

This is basically how I view the subject. Like, no duh, the United States has done some incredibly awful stuff over the centuries. But we also have a very powerful strand of humanitarianism, especially in the post World War II era, and I will damn well lean into that part of our national identity.
People who say this are clearly speaking aspirationally about a shared American creed they hold dear. “Have you heard of the Trail of Tears?” is not a very helpful response, because they probably have and the priority right now is moral opposition to fascism and not fake-educating each other.
I fear my tipping point into madness is "Thus is un-American" posts in response to ICE terrorizing immigrants. I beg you to open Wikipedia (I would say a book but let's start small) and read up on The Trail of Tears, Fugitive Slave Catchers, Japanese internment, Indian Boarding schools & Jim Crow

Something that is very important here is that this man’s fellow agents didn’t rush to help him or save his life, barely even pulled over. This is not a military unit joined by bonds of brotherhood and experience together. There is no unit cohesion besides a shared desire to hurt people.

Update: this drug was clearly spawned in hell and should be illegal under the Geneva conventions. I feel like I have the flu in terms of body aches. This is horrible. I have emailed the NP who prescribed it and informed her that I would rather die of a heart attack than be on this drug.
Lol I have taken rosuvastatin (Crestor) for the first time and am having my first Restless Leg Syndrome episode in fucking years. So that's not going to work and also I guess I'm not sleeping tonight
