Once you realize that The Atlantic is a conservative magazine with some token liberals, all of its editors' seemingly erratic behavior makes perfect sense.
Last week the far right started peddling a narrative that the outrage over Epstein is a moral panic. Today, like clockwork, a more polite version of that narrative appears in the Atlantic.

Did you know Bluesky has a Substack labeller?

Many people post to Substack using custom URLs which hide the fact they're using the service. The labeller can help you tell when someone's trying to conceal their affiliation and prevent you from sharing their stuff accidentally.

this may be the single most insufferable thing about the radical centrist caucus - not just extending good faith to obviously bad faith people but demanding everyone else do the same and chiding them when they don’t
A lot of our political discourse would be easier if we didn't extend good faith to people who would never extend it back.

Taking a break from watching Scrubs to watch @funfactorpod.com live.

Probably for the best. I'm quickly coming up on one of my favorite episodes that leaves me a sobbing mess.

No, it isn't "My Lunch". Or "My Screw Up".

This is bleak: Jes Staley, currently CEO of Barclays, reassuring Epstein that popular revolt against financial elites is unlikely because capitalism and pop culture have defanged social movements, leaving people more invested in consumption than justice.

New glasses were originally supposed to be here yesterday.

Then got delayed to today.

Then Sunday.

Now they're slated for Tuesday.

I just want to see further, clearly, again.

Was going to record VO today, but the past couple weeks have left me emotionally drained.

So I'm doing nothing but watching Scrubs all day.

You’re not crazy. The anti-trans movement is not organic; it was funded by pedophilic billionaires like Jeffrey Epstein who backed a network of conservatives to accuse the same people they were sexually abusing of being the real danger. @madycast.com exposes the truth in our in-depth report.

The video I mentioned I watched today and I'm going to give my own thoughts on the matter as someone who has primarily written fanfiction for going on 16 years now.

For the record, Ant's video was a good watch and I do recommend it if you have 3 hours to spare lol.
The Second Story, AKA author Hilary Layne, recently put out a video claiming that the fall of modern writing and storytelling can be traced to fanfiction. That the process of writing fanfiction has utterly ruined...everything.

I want to set the record straight.
