Meanwhile, the political party that spent years publicly denouncing sex trafficking, especially of children, and pushed theories of an elite conspiracy to do then cover up child sex trafficking, saw a lot of evidence the president was connected to a real one and made it a priority to cover it up.

The end of NIMBYism
“Deporting immigrants to make room for “real” Americans is therefore both about a belief that only certain types of people can be American in the first place and a demand that these authentic Americans be provided an array of nostalgic comforts through government largess.”

post your guess about what this is about in the comments before you check
Because criticizing grammar is ableist bullshit most likely. You ARE an arrogant SOB.

Doubly so, given not a single part of your post follows traditional Western grammar rules.

Qanon isn't a political movement, it's a apocalyptical death cult which had found it's messiah.
It is hard to get over that the Q-Anon folks spent years feverishly looking in pizza parlors for the cabal of rich, elite pedophiles and it turns out THERE WAS ONE, right in front of their noses, which they failed to identify and instead voted for three times in a row.

"Convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein" is a phrase that first appeared in newspapers in March 2011 and appeared regularly from that point onward. it is INCONCEIVABLE to me that this many people were still associating with him!!

i have said this before but i think that the people who were “charmed” by epstein wanted to be charmed
honestly one of the most striking things about epstein's emails is the fact that the man, described in many places as "a genius," is essentially subliterate

The abuse of young children by their parents and family members or the abuse of teenaged kids by trusted adults are met with defenses or indifference or disbelief when they come up. Instead we get panics about the exact kind of child abuse that doesn’t happen (the satanic kind).

I think it is worth asking the extend to which conservatives obsess over weird ritualistic, lurid, utterly fictional abuse of young children because they don’t have any problem with actual child abuse in the real world.

America has long feared it would suffer the same fate as the Roman republic, but never quite truly appreciated how utterly absurd Roman elites had become by the time of the late republic.

Also most voters have just never thought remotely seriously about policy. “Should we get rid of illegal immigrants? Well, of course; they’re illegal!” There’s nothing deeper than that going on until they start seeing what that actually entails.
Some Dems and pundits overread the significance of Trump's win. They looked at dissatisfaction with the border and discerned a seismic cultural reaction to immigration levels inside the country. The former was real. The latter is a mirage.

Like he says, it’s not just sexual abuse and trafficking, it’s all sorts of crimes, from wealthy people, that were never prosecuted, because it’s the friends and family card
tbh, the scope of criminality described in barely-literate text and the scale of how many people involved are both genuinely really shocking to me

pretty funny in retrospect that QAnon hinged on the idea that powerful elites at the highest levels of government were smart enough to talk in code when sending emails to each other about their despicable crimes

Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.
