Me, who doesn't like to go outside in Devon between September and April, or if it's a bit cloudy: I could totally do this job.
It's that time of year again: we're looking for our next Antarctic team!

If you can imagine a job that’s needed to keep a small, remote community safe and running, we have it.

18 months of racist, dog-whistle politics, endless cruelty and demonisation of migrants and refugees, utter contempt for "lefties" (from the Labour Party ffs), all to win over Reform voters, and this is the result. How can Starmer be so bad at every aspect of his job and still be in it?

The only 0 is Reform 2024 to Labour 2026. Meanwhile, 8% of the Labour vote has gone Reform and 24% has gone Green/LibDem. Note the Labour/LibDem/Green Don't Knows, though.

I see Labour's plan to win over Reform voters is going well.

You're not challenging Reform if you're constantly agreeing with them.
You don't defeat far right parties by becoming one.

The BBC remains very clearly absolutely terrified of Trump, and this makes it utterly useless as a source of US news.

you say "i asked chatgpt"
i hear "i asked [an improv comedy group]"

an improv group wrote this report
instead of a therapist i use an improv comedy group
chatgpt is much like an improv comedy group

1) you are the audience, giving it prompts
2) it produces things roughly shaped like your prompt
3) it is trained to respond with Yes, And
4) it has the factual accuracy of improv
5) it does not understand comedy
This is fascinating: www.reddit.com/r/OpenAI/s/I...

I see Starmer's strategy of appeasing Trump is going about as well as his strategy of appeasing racist Reform voters. Who'd have thought that repeated public displays of spinelessness would be so unappealing?
