Not the point but - when you go on a 'family vacation' - isn't that a great time to like - I dunno - parent? Just look after your own kids? The repeated reference to 'the nannies' is just mad isn't it? These people want big families, but god forbid they have to lift a finger to look after them!

The law on universities and free speech prevents speakers from being *disinvited after they have been invited*. It does not require universities to provide a platform to whoever demands one.

my feeling is that if we are going to let AI loose we should start simple and low-risk, like criminal profiling, autonomous driving and medical advice before we let it handle complex tasks
It’s crazy the sheer number of supposedly rational people who were like “ok but it’s good at health stuff” early on.
When AI was added to a tool for sinus surgery: “Cerebrospinal fluid leaked from one patient’s nose. In another… a surgeon mistakenly punctured the base of a patient’s skull. In two other cases, patients suffered strokes after a major artery was accidentally injured”

I think collectively, we at least partially wanted the child at the Super Bowl to be Liam because the little boy on stage looked happy and healthy and our hearts want so badly to think these children can somehow magically recover from the evils our government is doing.
