Insane but true fact: making US roads as safe as Canadian, Australian, or European roads would save more lives than eliminating murder from the US.

Sure sounds like current board members are actively trying to sabotage the hard-fought #RevenuesAndReform of SB2111 through an amendatory veto.

We're not done yet: call @govpritzker.illinois.gov's office and tell him to sign SB2111 **as-is**!

Yet another variety of cop has arrived—NIPAS/assorted suburban Illinois cops from various departments recruited for riot control.

Dogs barking.

ISP just gave another warning, ordering protesters to disperse or potentially face chemical weapons or "pain compliance techniques."

It would also apply downstate though!

So not only does the massive transit package passed last night fill the funding gap, it *boosts* ops funding by roughly the size of the gap, eliminates parking minimums within a half mile of rail stations, and gives the new regional transit board sweeping powers to do public development

As the agents drove away from a confrontation in Little Village on Thursday, “they pointed a pepper ball gun and then a real gun at … Chris Gentry, a combat veteran who was lawfully standing on the side of the road ‘bang, bang,’ and ‘you’re dead liberal.'”

ICE agents arrest Alderperson Jessie L. Fuentes (26th Ward of Chicago city council) after she questions them on whether they have a signed judicial warrant to arrest a person at Humboldt Park Hospital.

“He has Constitutional rights.”

“No.”

ICE’s exact mindset: no one is allowed any rights now.

Please write to Ald. Scott Waguespack and CDOT encouraging them to phase the construction of the bridge so that half can remain open to pedestrains and cyclists and/or to add a temporary protected bike lane on North and Fulerton.

If a University of Chicago student can do an economic analysis that says bridging the fiscal cliff has a benefit-cost ratio of 168%, should be a real no-brainer for our state legislators to get behind a robust revenue package.
