I follow this blog regularly. The author here, Ben, could absolutely be the Menswear Guy of aviation if he weren’t so exceedingly polite, and I hope he one day picks up the gauntlet.
Noah Smith is paid in the high six-figures to write a blog read by Americans who believe themselves to be intelligent. Yet, he is both unable to read a sign and also for some reason chose to have a 90 minute layover for a flight that takes 90 minutes.

Economist Doesn't Follow Signs At Heathrow: Proof The UK Is Failing?

This is for sure the most interesting path they could take, but I don’t trust Amazon to not use the opportunity to make the lead character Deep Fake Tim Dalton
I have been begging the 007 gods to put him back in the Cold War where he belongs

Or, he is conflating it with the series of shops located in the Las Vegas Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, which would be even funnier.
it’s got to be the magnificent mile
which is not a shopping center but a stretch of michigan avenue
and is very safe
so there’s that

Not to mention that there's no place called the "Miracle Mile Shopping Center" in Chicago? He is maybe talking about Water Tower Place or Michigan Avenue more broadly. But right now he's advocating troops for a nonexistent location.

James Bond is a timelord and it’s concerning the writers don’t know this
Wait… do the writers think that we think that the Daniel Craig bond and the Sean Connery bond are… the exact same person?
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Not sure what happens if Chuck Grassley, who already voted, passes away of being nine hundred years old while they are looking for Cornyn.
I am 100% assuming they find him, but it's really funny.

*the* formative moment of the current GOP, and one that will find a rhyme in 2026 for the Dems.
thinking back to when eric cantor got knocked out in a primary in 2014

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.
The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.
People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.
And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Primarying Schumer
The political positions of both Chuck Schumer and the White House have been hurt severely and the GOP was not gifted a delay until after midterms of the electorate feeling the effects of their policy choices. Pretty satisfied with that, even if I’d be a no vote if I were on the floor.
Yeah, with respect, @jamellebouie.net and a lot of the other Fight Faction ppl on this site are wrong.
The Fight was the point, and the Fight got Republicans to openly do a fuckton of absolutely horrendous shit out in the open, and basically break their House majority as a functioning organ.

Sincere question: what does victory look like?
Because maybe I'm missing something but I don't see any viable path to actually getting reconciliation subsidy shit reversed
The game was always raise salience, and an up/down vote w/dem language sounds like that to me

Vibes shared by a majority of the Senate caucus, it appears, which is an improvement.
Vibes among House Democrats and activists, "The Senate is the enemy"

Go Jaguars
it's genuinely mind-boggling how this went from the best maneuver of Schumer's tenure to a complete omnishambling humiliation of the whole caucus in two days
Also like, the Dem leadership can't make a big show of making it about healthcare because it's the only issue that polls well enough for them to risk taking a stand on, blow out the Republicans in state and local elections in apparent vindication of that strategy, and then cave on healthcare anyway.

Particularly nasty work with Devin Lloyd back on the field
Scoring 29 points against the Texans should get you a win.
If you wanna take out the punt return TD, scoring 22 should get you a win.
Pathetic, pathetic performance from the defense

I think Mike Thomas is the right comparison, including being a short king
When is the last time the Jaguars had a wideout this consistent? I'm tempted to say 87 or 82, honestly.

Mathematically, the Colts losing to the Falcons would be the only help the Jaguars need to win the division without any need for tiebreakers.

It’s not about politics or policy; just power for power’s sake. Grimly, it makes a lot more sense when you simply remember what crime the man in charge was found by a jury to have committed, and that that is the driving mindset of domination.
Telling states to claw back SNAP funding is truly insane politically.

Re-upping this. We dropped some goods off at BEAM and made a cash donation to Feeding NE Florida. Lots of great options on this list and I’d encourage each of you to step up and pick one to support. #ilovejax
We've created a list of local food pantries and distribution locations so people know where to get help. It also offers ways to donate if you’re in a position to support. Visit jacksonville.gov/duvalcarecoalition to learn more. (2/3)

I dunno, A1 of Vichy WaPo feels like a change to me.
So the oldest person ever to become president keeps falling asleep in his office during public events and there’s no big public discussion on how this is a coverup or how republicans are lying to us about how this government is running?
