Surrounded by comics they never have time enough to read. Always tired. Writing nonsense about Robotech on the internet since the late '90s.

Amazon's shipping the new Marvel Legends build-a-figure wave. I think the Dark Avengers Spidey should also be turning up today. Enchantress looks nice, but boy howdy, her high heels are extra-temperamental. Heels don't appear to be level with the toes.

A limp follow-up to the tremendous TV send-off for the Enterprise-D crew that kills off the franchise's original lead in a half-assed fashion -- and as so many have said over the decades, the fantasy crafted for him by the Nexus makes ZERO sense for Kirk given the events of all the prior movies.
Ah, Star Trek: Generations....it will always be the Star Trek movie where three old men fight over the remote control while Data says a swear word.

Alita: Battle Angel 2?

James Cameron: “Robert Rodriguez and I have sworn a blood oath to do at least one more Alita movie. In fact, we’re thinking of an architecture that bridges to a third film, but we’ll be satisfied if we can make one more. And we’re making progress on that.”
James Cameron has "sworn a blood oath" with Robert Rodriguez to make Alita 2

In light of the "we're tossing all previous Star Trek movie plans & the folks behind the D&D movie everybody liked but made no money are taking a crack at it" news, I checked to see when Team Kelvin will have been done as long as the original crew was when TMP came out.

December 2026, apparently.

I don't think the original Gundam needs a remake. It holds up well. But it is really wild seeing all the stuff they fully reanimated and redubbed for it back in 2003 for the PS2 video game Encounters In Space

anyway ludicrous to think the right question is “how did DHS lose its way??” and not “why did we build a domestic security super agency in the first place, and who has that power served”

if you’re accepting the premise that Homeland Security was created to “keep Americans safe” and the way Trump is using it is somehow an aberration from the original purpose you need to read some more history 😕

Got in the "troop builder" case of G.I. Joe Classified retro figures today. Yay for bolstering the ranks with generic folks you can differentiate out of the box. Curious now if we'll be getting a female Joe Trooper much like the female Crimson Guard coming in the next wave.

Yeah, okay, I *will* need lime-flavored Swoop with his toy-style head sculpt -- and I love how Sludge's wildly mismatched colors in dino mode makes him look like a knockoff you'd see at, say, Five Below or Marshall's (two places I did, in fact, see bad cheap robots today).

Abolish gender markers on government IDs. They serve no useful function. Medical field should move off of sex assigned at birth and have a reproductive organ inventory.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

I always think “learning loss” compared to what?

Compared to what they would’ve learned on an alternate earth that *didn’t* experience a massive and global deadly pandemic?
Every time Covid and learning loss hits the news, people act like the only factor is folk staying home and learning online, rather than… Living through a global mass death event.

Boy, if Ground goes up that much vs. Priority's increase I think lighter stuff (like the action figures I keep selling off) might wind up with near-parity -- so, no point in doing Ground except for extreme coastal/HI/AK shipping. (There've been cases recently where it's been VERY close.)
NEW: The U.S. Postal Service proposes raising its shipping prices starting Jan. 18, 2026, to help stabilize its finances. Prices would go up about 6.6% for Priority Mail, 5.1% for Priority Mail Express, 7.8% for USPS Ground Advantage and 6% for Parcel Select
U.S. Postal Service Recommends New Competitive Prices for 2026 - Newsroom - About.usps.com
WASHINGTON — The Postal Service today filed notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) for Shipping Services price changes to take effect Jan. 18, 2026.
