In the concentration camp universe, this is what's known as a filtration camp. A government preemptively takes a whole class of people to interrogate and detain extrajudicially in order to inflict duress on them while arbitrarily assessing their (supposed) culpability.
This is a truly horrifying memo. It says that the policy of the US government will now be to proactively seek out and arrest likely tens of thousands of refugees who entered legally under Biden and subject them to detention, where they will be interrogated about their status.

“Sic semper tyrannis” is the only reasonable response to an attempt to impose tyranny. If the law cannot adequately punish those who attempted to destroy it, then those people will just attempt to do so again at a later date.
ngl I feel like insurrection at this level is just one of those things where you just have to do the maximal punishment for it. Basically no risk of mistrial, the socially optimal number of reoffenders is 0 and you really do want maximal deterrence lol.

The left isn't taking torture seriously. Critics say it only produces lies and fabrications, but they don't know what waterboarding is accomplishing today. Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.
