The presidential oath of office includes a vow to "preserve, protect and defend" the Constitution, but this one is literally mocking other leaders for doing just that.
Trump on Minnesota: "If we didn't have to fight this horrible governor and this horrible fake mayor -- Frey. 'This is the Constitution of the United States.' People don't want to be mugged!"

OMG. He literally went with "they were no angels" which is the mocking phrase people use to point out how authorities try to minimize their law enforcement executions. And he's using it earnestly because he doesn't realize how it's actually used.
Trump on Alex Pretti and Renee Good: "He was not an angel and she was not an angel. You know, you look at some tapes."

The Trump era exposed how badly Congress erred over decades by granting the president emergency powers in certain situations while also making the president the one who decides when we’re in those situations.

ICE can’t mask except when ICE’s boss says it’s necessary? Repeating that same mistake.

I am tired of bending into knots to understand the evolution and motivation and pathos of men who hurt people.

There's a line from a Doubleclicks song that I come back to:

"I don’t care if you are happy now
I just hope that you are victimless"

Honestly: good.

Better than making everyone go through extra security just for him to make a big indignant walkout.
Trump claimed he’s skipping the Super Bowl because it’s “too far away.” Privately, Trump’s advisers warned he would likely get booed if he went to Sunday’s big game, sources tell Zeteo.

One by one, Europeans mentioned in the Epstein files who still hold political office are beginning to resign or are being forced out of office.

Meanwhile, ruled by an administration almost entirely made up of Epstein associates, the US carries on as if nothing really happened.

This cannot be something a civilian law enforcement agent is allowed to wear in the US — and an agency that has a culture that tolerates this cannot be saved.
Fucking surreal that people dressed like this and carrying assault rifles are permitted to kidnap people off our streets

Retiring Walmart CEO Doug McMillon made $27M last year, over 930 times the median Walmart worker's salary of just $29,469.

Walmart's wages are so low that its workers are among the most likely to rely on SNAP and Medicaid to get by.

Hello?

I think all these men who benefited financially from proximity to Epstein POST CONVICTION OF PEDOPHILIA should have to pay reparations to his victims, whether they abused women and children or not.

They all knew what was going on, and help legitimize him with their association.

Documentarian: Well, it's just -- the group dynamics, I guess.

Chotiner: I can see that. I can see finding Nandor, Laszlo and Nadia entertaining.

Documentarian: Exactly.

Chotiner: So. How many people did you watch them murder?

I was a White House ethics lawyer.

I used to advise people not to even accept a free cup of coffee from someone who had interests before them. And staff followed those rules.

I can’t even find the words to describe the scale of Trump’s corruption here.
Foreign countries are bribing our president to sell out the American people.

Trump family businesses made $187 MILLION from this deal, and just months later he gave the UAE some of our most top-secret AI tech.

They are selling our national security to the highest bidder.

Like it's super weird that Noam Chomsky was writing emails to Epstein saying something to the effect of, "it's simply ridiculous what they accuse you of, old friend!" but it's my understanding there are no messages about having girls reserved for him etc. He's guilty of a different offense.

STEPHANOPOULOS: How do you respond to people who say it's a conflict of interest for the president to be seeking funds from those who he's administering?

BLANCHE: We're looking at how to handle that. He's not wrong that what happened there was horrible, the fact his tax returns were leaked.
