SO annoyed at this because it did previously give me a popup asking to enable smart features and I said no... now they're turned on again.
If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."
There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

the thing about skysports halo is that it's likely a result of higher-ups seeing their social media demographics skew increasingly female saying "this is a problem that needs to be fixed" but unlike boys' tv that gets too popular with girls, they can't just cancel the show because the show is sports

Frustrating though entirely unsurprising that a young femme-focused magazine that has been doing banger work in reporting on crucial issues is being gutted by the politically grey Vogue.
We need this reporting now more than ever, and I've said this far too many times in the last two years.

I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.
certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

I'll say it: I think its rly annoying and frankly amateurish that writers are constantly told their villains must be understandable or have sympathetic motivation to be interesting or realistic when all our big villains irl are in fact rich, stupid, selfish, trickster dillweeds and always have been

I think a lot about how [if the archive stays up & accessible for the next 50+ years] my gmail inbox may continue to get daily ao3 kudo emails even after I'm dead and gone. there's a weird little sense of comfort in that. our words outlasting us and continuing to have meaning to people in the future
ao3 kudos emails are a beautiful reminder of how fandom is so everlasting. like, someone might read smth i wrote over a decade ago, rejoicing in a new fandom for the very first time, & i may have forgotten that singular joy, but someone will follow in my footsteps. and it's right there in my inbox.
