Interesting! According to Oscar's Wikipedia page, though, "In their final judgment, the CRB revealed that Piastri had signed his McLaren contract almost a month prior to the Alpine announcement", so it sounds like it doesn't need to be made public immediately upon signing?

Genuine question: is it possible there is a signed contract but nobody outside of Mercedes knows yet? Or is that something that's always immediately announced?
