these people make a stink over mediocre people receiving mediocre grades constantly and are not worth engaging with, but i will say one thing: the paper she wrote was worse than a lot of the LLM ones i've received in my time grading which is embarassing to say the least
Here’s the TPUSA version of events at OU.

Not surprisingly, they lie about what happened — she wasn’t flunked for quoting the Bible; she never even quoted it — and accuse the instructor, whom they name, as being “mentally ill”

It's not great that a student can turn in a bad essay but vaguely point to the Bible and religious beliefs as an excuse for not following the actual assignment and terrible writing. That's not what college is supposed to be.

The professor did nothing wrong but she was pulled off the course anyways.

This is the kind of legal- haranguing we all should do

Local oligarchs are breaking laws all the time and repeatedly dogging them wastes their time, stresses them out, and inevitably they do something dumb in court on record.

They think limited liability means no liability! Remind them it's false!
I just left a voicemail for one of the landlords who was a major funder of the conservative AoM/WLM/Thrive PACs informing them that this is the only warning they get that if they don't clear their sidewalks in compliance with Mpls property codes, I will make it my personal mission to report it.

the problem with this and the dayton's markets is that people have turned "support my small business!" into "support my small business where i buy crap on amazon and temu and mark it up and resell it!" instead of actually creating something themselves yet demand the support as if they are

The vibe shift today is, I think, due to the fact that New Yorkers were on the offensive instead of the defensive.

Usually with protests, demonstrators have to defend the space, defend their right to march, etc. They get beat up and pushed around and antagonized into chaos and trauma.

I know a lot of footage and commentary is swirling about today but it’s important to convey that the people who gathered outside that ICE garage in lower Manhattan were *so* ten toes down focused.

This person who gets maced and just calmly flips the bird & keeps going is *quintessential.*

Confirmed: Earlier this morning a photog overheard agents inside the parking garage say “dismissed,” believed to be calling off their planned mass raid.

A source tells me they had planned for *hundreds* of agents to flood Canal St. They got flooded instead.

Seems to me that kind of unnecessary greed is exactly what the Chamber of Commerce stands for.
