Massive shoutout out to whoever handles the Royal Canadian Air Force’s social media account. They responded to every single comment on their already very solid Trans Day of Remembrance post and they responded like this…

Q: Are you affirming that you think President Trump is a fascist?

MAMDANI: I've spoken about--

TRUMP: That's okay. You can just say yes. I don't mind.

Trump in a room with a very charismatic person results in like half a day of Trump agreeing with everything that person said, so this has the potential to be very, very funny.

kinda can’t believe i’m covering another Taylor Sheridan show ... anyway check out my first recap of Landman, a show with some of the worst-written female characters since the early aughts. at least Demi Moore gets more to do this season! www.vulture.com/article/land...
Landman Season-Premiere Recap: The Sharks Are Circling
Giving Demi Moore’s character way more to do in the premiere is a strong sign for the rest of the season.

I like how Linklater just released 1. one movie with Netflix that looks beautiful on the big screen and 2. one movie with Sony that looks like a Netflix movie. (both good!)

Paste gave me some of my first few opportunities as a freelancer (including my first ever paid piece about TV), and you can see from these replies/quotes that that was true of so many people. such a shame
Today, Paste Magazine shuttered all its non-music verticals, a choice I am both professionally and personally heartbroken about. Sadly, I am once again looking for a place that wants to let me write about Books and TV on the regular, so hit me up if that’s you or anyone you know.

In somewhat good news, today the state department website has changed the answer to this question to defer to ICAO policy. Sources still tell me that there is some appetite for invalidation/reversion of passports issued under the injunction, but this message will be welcome to many trans people.
