Haha just kidding. It was all to make college execs, quick service franchisees and property speculators super wealthy. Canada doesn’t have a real economy.
So if the point of unchecked work-study student visas in Canada was to bolster our community college system and we aren’t sharing Canadian expertise globally or what ever anymore then can’t we fully fund domestic students now?

What the public needs to understand is the "unpaid work" aka "Block time" pay model was negotiated by the union in return for pay guarantee. In other words if the flight is cancelled and there is no re assignment they go home with full pay.
