Automated self-driving "light metro" systems like SkyTrain also had a huge advantage during the 2019 pandemic because trains can't get sick. Vancouver was able to keep service levels without cuts during that trying time so essential workers could still commute without cars.

Sorry-not-sorry #HamOnt I've wanted rapid transit since I discovered working as a shelf reader at HPL in the 00s, that we had a missed opportunity for a SkyTrain-like system that VC built. It was like a secret history we never got to live. And a missed opportunity we should not repeat.

An enhanced promenade to Hunter St. GO along Hughson has been part of this plan since the beginning. Sure these are just "plans" but they're also pretty clear about enhancing urban tree cover far outside the LRT alignment.

Like WTH are we actually talking about here? Am I missing something? More reactionary NIMBY face-planting by the "we can't have anything nice and I like it that way" crowd that is ever-present in Hamilton. York Blvd looks like this because of the same attitude. Hamilton deserves sustainable transit.

Stardew Valley log: Year 6. I was nice enough to Emily to have the game give me a bridal vale for her but I put it on my cat, at first by mistake. I can’t get it off and honestly it’s my little protest against the heteronormativity of this game mechanic. Gayness confirmed: married my cat.
