get up, get ready for work. Work, work, work, work, lunch and check on my right to live, no decision yet? Still arguing. Cool. Cool. Work. Work. Work. Go home. Check on my right to live again ...

I know a lot of people are saying this, but it's so overwhelming and exhausting and dispiriting to have your right to life - to live! - be argued before the Supreme Court while you just have to go about your day, making money for your bosses and surrounded by people who don't care in the slightest.

I 100% agree, this is beyond a doubt the best post-mortem I’ve read of the election.
Apropos, the best election postmortem I’ve read dropped today. It’s also more than a postmortem; it’s a deeper long-term analysis, and quite compelling.

The article is by @eladn.bsky.social and well worth the long read.

So one of our RPGs is a diceless variant about characters that move often from world to world. Last night our characters were in. Fallout world and about to attack a Brotherhood of Steel base. But in classic RPG style one of the characters decided to turn battle night into seduction night.

I've been asked to tell the story of the Jar Carrier, my favorite ancient Jewish trans person. They show up in 3 of the Christian canonical gospels, but get ignored or misunderstood by Christians a lot, and I like telling their story when I get a chance.

I never really got the hang of Twitter, maybe half a dozen tweets a decade ago. Couldn't get the right balance of social and parasocial. My FB started out social, but got slowly more dysfunctionally parasocial over time. Already struggling with social vs parasocial balance here too. Any tips?

Just saw the last episode of Stargate SG1, (I know over a decade late). It was a great last episode, which is hard to pull off. (One of our current RPGs is set in the Stargate setting, so we've been working on finishing the last few seasons.)

Gonna attempt some theology on Bluesky to delay grading. My friend Helen recently said that she stopped being Christian in 2022 after being a talented Christian theologian (check out her book Wonderstruck), and that the main thing tearing her away from Christianity was atonement - cont in replies
