Alright I used Sky Follower Bridge so I guess I'll be following a lot more people.
How it feels working with the sort of person who is excited to see you when you walk in

I haven't been as good at tracking my mood this year. But I've been doing better mood-wise; I only had one very bad day, and had my first very good day.

At grok: remove the man in the photo and add me, with my arm around her. Please that's my wife

First year I genuinely have nothing.
My only experience is playing some of the children's games of this era a few years later, so technically that would be my "now" favourite game. In which case: Lego Stunt Rally!

This is also true in the UK but we solved it through the revolutionary act of either a) having a DD b) sleeping over or c) wandering around the countryside drunk
I have a bunch of intersecting thoughts here but basically 1) excessive alcohol consumption is an urban activity, 2) we shouldn’t legalize drunk driving and 3) we should more heavily penalize parents whose kids abuse alcohol in such a drastic fashion.

A bit late but I genuinely don't understand the replies on this one at all
oh is the traitors back on tv? none of you have mentioned it??

I don't think the UK is heading towards civil war but what is up with this

Here are two photos I took of the moon in Madagascar, a few years back.

This is kind of obvious but I really need to type it out: in 2026 I'm really souring on a lot of video games, especially multiplayer video games. I have dedicated inordinate amounts of time to them, and had little in return. And I feel as though much of my use is more about my state than the game.

The Moon was big tonight!
Unfortunately I don't have a great camera so here's a picture like every other

A goat belonging to Ross dies. Cunningham notes that the cause of death is said to have been "over gorging herself".

Opinion I European leaders keep predicting a new world war – we have lost sight of what such a conflict is really like

People sometimes say that a modern Christmas Carol would involve a billionaire but that misses the point. Scrooge is generally passively rather than actively evil. If he were a megalomaniac industrialist it wouldn't work. He is a small business owner who is supposed to be relatable to some extent.

If Canada were seriously worried about an invasion (and I still think it's very unlikely) could it even do anything? It's not like Carney can build a Maginot Line along St. Clair and Vermont

Josh Widdecombe is on Radio 4 talking about his new podcast, which is all about trends in popular culture, something that apparently no one has ever done before because he wanted to do something unique.

Every time I see a Tim Robinson clip I'm surprised as to how good he is at ideas for sketches and how incapable he is at sticking the landing.

Then: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
Now: Silent Hill 2

HP was interesting, development wise. It was made with very limited knowledge of what the sets would look like and none of what the music was. It's therefore its own little creation of quasi-mediaevalism and warm, gothic fantasy.

Reading about the songwriter for A Muppet Christmas Carol. This man absolutely blew up his life for alcohol and cocaine, which adds a lot more meaning into the songs of redemption.

Millennial who is sworn in on a copy of The Philosopher's Stone
Strange takes on Mayor Zamdani swearing his oath on the Qu’ran. It has nothing to do with church & state. The point of the oath is for the person swearing in to do so upon some text that is sacred TO THEM. Some Presidents swore in w/o any book. John Quincy Adams was sworn on a law book. His choice.

I was working NYE up until 11pm so I ran home, ran to the pub, had a free drink, did some catch-up drinking, realised in about an hour I'd gone too hard too fast, staggered home
Being drunk would be great if it wasn't for The Spins
