I am so floored by today and have so little to actually say. Remind people you love them and don't want to be in a world without them. Take care of your mental health and help people with their mental health too. Please remember there is 988 and suicide hotlines. R.I.P. Jessie Arcand Martinez.

Probably should've predicted that our roving army of misfit fed goons would consist of the kind of men who subsist largely on Slim Jims and energy drinks in between beating immigrants
“.. Federal agents walk through a gas station market searching for undocumented immigrants during Operation Charlotte's Web in Charlotte, North Carolina.”

There's a lot going on here. The mayor is mischaracterizing protesters, and real threats have been made (America 2025). Whatever one's thoughts are on how this should be handled, the order itself is a tool for further restricting demonstrations and reporting outside the detention center.

Neighbors left a 2.5 oz bottle of hand cream in the lobby for free (in a bag with a small alcohol-free listerine and an unused toothbrush). I grabbed it, then looked it up. 82 dollar hand cream. Pamela: "this hand cream better cure my mental ilness if it costs 82 a bottle"

FWIW, I've reached out to the Alliance Defending Freedom and the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty — groups that have long touted their support for religious freedom — about things such as the treatment of clergy, alleged inability of ICE detainees to access religious rites, etc.

No response yet.
The Christian right for decades has fear-mongered that federal agents (under Dem presidents) would "criminalize" Christianity and literally prevent them from worshipping.

Now that Trump's stormtroopers are doing it ... crickets
Here’s a story for every national news outlet:

In N.C., churchgoers are literally running into the woods as federal agents descend on the property.

“Inside the church, women and children sobbed as they wondered whether their loved ones had been taken.”

Anyone seen even one Democrat go on the news and criticize this push towards military activity against Venezuela? Considering there is no basis for an attack, you'd think they'd be pounding the pavement on the War Powers act and at least trying to propose legislation...

I wanted to share probably the most important sermon I’ve given and it’s while I’m being arrested. It’s torture pure and simple what happens at #Broadview. I’m ok, though I was thrown to the ground and choked with my pectoral cross. A review of the video shows I was peaceful - did I deserve this?

Mind you, this was done as an executive order I believe, therefore it has no force of law for a state or city govt. None at all. This is being done so they can display their capitulation.
Nothing is safe trom Trump:

The Buddy Holly crosswalk in his hometown of Lubbock, Texas will be removed to comply with a directive from the Trump regime to rid the public roadways of any political messages or artwork.
Buddy Holly crosswalk in his Texas hometown to be removed following order on road safety
“It’s such a tasteful cross section and people like it. But what do you do?” City Council Member Christy Martinez-Garcia said of the crosswalk that depicts Holly's iconic glasses.

the society i want to see brought about is one in which adopting a child out to strangers and pronouncing them “legally and practically dead” to their families is understood as a war crime and not as a way for celebrities to advertise their compassion 🥚

Kind of night where you get a little stoned and put on music to make a playlist to get high to listen to music too, but with someone else.

The Nuzzi story is just gross propaganda, an epic romance made of this grifter who breaks ethics on her social rise & a eugenicist dismantling public health in favor of mass death. They're humanizing, validating, offering it to us so it will be palatable. Obviously the paper is bought & sold.

I just don’t see how we can pretend even for a moment that anything involving our federal government is remotely normal when the president is covering up his involvement in a child sex trafficking ring. Like, what are we doing here

I'd never heard of this person today. Milquetoast and shitty newsletter on substack + a weird hero complex. Unshocked.
The problems with moderation on this site are real. People should pay less attention to Sarah Kendzior, though, who has tried to turn her suspension into evidence she is being personally targeted by the people who run this site

The excuse Trump, Vance, Bessent and every member of the admin constantly uses is things are so bad because of what “they inherited.” What about what Biden inherited? Has everyone forgotten Jan 2021? Economy in shambles, global supply chain a mess, global inflation, J6 aftermath.
