Nobody roasts like the Irish.
As someone that has quite a few coworkers there, I've heard and been on the end of some.
I am calling upon the people of Ireland to immediately begin construction of a thread on this site about how you or someone you know was roasted for a fashion choice. We need it.

All roasts must have come from Irish people *only*. Please respect this important rule, it makes a difference.

If the Giants can fire Daboll, NY can fire this guy...
I will not support the Republican bill that’s on the Senate floor because it fails to do anything of substance to fix America’s healthcare crisis.

Durbin strikes me as a guy that would click on any link in an email and then wonder why he has to convert cash into Bitcoin to unlock his files...
Whoa -- Sen. Durbin went to up Leader Thune during the vote last night to tell him that on the shutdown vote and ACA promise that "8 of us are sticking our neck out that you're going to keep your word. I hope you will. He said 'I assure you I will,'" Durbin says just now

This was absolutely insane.
The CPL Final is in the middle of a snowstorm in Canada, true North American soccer heritage...how could it get any better?

HOW ABOUT A FREAKIN' BICYCLE KICK EQUALIZER!!!

First thing any new leader should do is boot this feckless asshole from the caucus.
Sen. Angus King: "Standing up to Donald Trump didn't work"
November 10, 2025 at 1:44 PM
Shaheen going for hope in one hand and shit in the other and is going to find out quickly which one fills up first.
Shaheen on Fox & Friends: "I believe there are number of Republicans who are gonna join us in trying to address healthcare costs ... we are gonna be able to continue to right about healthcare because we're gonna have a vote in December."

I left messages with both of my senators stating this is the bare minimum right now.

Schumer & Durbin both deserve to be stripped of their positions for this failure.

They have shown beyond a shadow of a doubt they aren't up to the task of fighting and instead prefer to appease.
The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)

Call a Senator that voted no tonight and demand that they vote to remove Chuck Schumer as Senate Minority Leader.

He has weaponized his incompetence against the American people by allowing 8 Dem Senators to cave to an authoritarian regime. We need real leadership, not the oligarchy’s lapdog
Schumer can be removed from his Dem leadership role this week - 23 Dems (and/or independents) just have to vote to depose him

And they should, given this is his fault.
This is a lovely sentiment but Schumer isn't up for re-election until 2028 and he knows this. At which point he will be 77/78. There's no mechanism to recall a sitting senator AFAIK.

There's only 2 things I wanna hear from this moldy asshole...

1 - he's stepping down as Senate Minority leader because he can't be trusted to make a bowl of Cheerios without adult supervision, much less lead a caucus.

2 - he's leaving the Senate (either immediately or not seeking re-election).
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis

For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

We will keep fighting

Tonight is one of those nights I’m glad I’m not a paid Dem influencer, they have to defend this crap because they took the cash. Don’t buy the BS.

So out of the Gang Of 8, 2 are retiring, 3 are in the cycle after this upcoming one next year, and the others just got voted in last year...

Figures they can be cowards without any accountability from their constituents.

In footballing terms, this is like Barça blowing the second leg vs Liverpool.
November 10, 2025 at 1:56 AM
Yet you let this happen without a fight.

Fucking hypocrite.

Resign, you ineffectual lump of putty.
Schumer: "However this vote turns out, this fight will and must continue. Democrats must fight."
November 10, 2025 at 1:30 AM
Not even 48 hours later, this hypothesis from one of my senators is sadly becoming reality because of an ineffective leader and 8-10 selfish fucks that can't be kicked out of office soon enough.
Chris Murphy: "There will be pretty substantial damage to a Dem brand that has been rehabilitated if on the heels of an election in which the people told us to keep fighting, we immediately stop... if we surrender without having gotten anything, I worry it'll be hard to get them back up off the mat"

This is certainly a choice...an extremely bad one that will surely backfire, but a choice.

Things like "starving a segment of your population" have serious consequences.

Ask the Bourbons, Romanovs, and Ceaușescus how that turned out for them...
#BREAKING: The Trump administration is asking #SCOTUS for an immediate “administrative” stay of a Rhode Island district judge’s order that is otherwise requiring it to resume the distribution of SNAP benefits from other funding sources no later than the end of today.

This thread...

If the details don't horrify and enrage you, then I honestly question your humanity.

A Nuremberg-esque tribunal might be way too kind for these scumbags when accountability comes calling.
A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

The ones in my home town that say this are afraid to go to Waterbury or Danbury, much less NYC.
