The actual claim being made, as always, is "no one should be allowed to make things that are not for me."
"They don't make games like they used to", says man who refuses to play indie games made exactly like they used to be

Here’s yet another poll, this time out of the U of Chicago, showing that the majority of Americans oppose expanding fossil fuel production.

Yet this is the policy recommended by @mattyglesias.bsky.social & @jessedjenkins.com due to its supposed political popularity?

🤔

It's all bad faith but:
1. If we take "diversity" as a simple dictionary term for "variety", of course it can be diverse without any one demo. The world is full of different ppl!
2. If we choose a more political angle there's a case to be made that "diversity" *shouldn't* include the dominant group
Fact | You can't write something predicated in the utterly ludicrous assumption that white men are being excluded from publishing unless you are racist.

More about anti-Italian discrimination. The historical amnesia on display in the Trump administration is dazzling.
BTW, here's a Life Magazine cartoon from 1911, two years after Michele Bovino came to the US:

We should ask why it’s so easy for terms and concepts like “Heritage American” and “Western Chauvinism” are met with earnest analysis and exploration while academic theory produced by Black scholars are summarily dismissed by people reading introductory texts if that.

271,000 people have lost their jobs and federal spending has ctually increased. So people get less services, while we added debt paying for private jets for Kristi Noem, bulletproof cars for Kash Patel. This is what the rust belt voters demanded.

Donald Trump spent Christmas:

- Referring to millions of Americans as “scum”
- Bombing another country without congressional authorization
- Defending Jeffrey Epstein
- Threatening it “may be our last Christmas ever”

Just an absolutely deranged person with advancing dementia!

to be clear: Jesus also said denying help to the poor is rejecting God.
Pope Leo said in a Christmas Eve sermon that the story of Jesus being born in a stable because there was no room at an inn should remind Christians that refusing to help the poor and strangers today is tantamount to rejecting God himself. For @reuters.com

CRAZY how it's easier these days to have a real discussion on X, or threads, than on here.

Oh my god I was certain this was someone doing a cute parody of less-common Christmas folklore but it's real??
Tonight is Christmas Eve, when we in Iceland open presents. All the Yule Lads have already come down from the mountains, but tonight the Yule Cat arrives and he will eat all the children who weren't gifted any new clothes for Christmas.

My daughters both got woollen socks so they are safe 🙏
