Someone else fxcking up - or being a horrible person - does not absolve you of responsibility for using your brain, nor does it excuse believing something because it's convenient or easy or you think ""they deserve it"" no matter the reason.

Be better than that which you rail against.
Don't fall down that hole. It is the FBI's job to sort through the leads and run them down, not ours. We have a right to believe everything in the files pertaining to Trump.

This story is just chef's kiss...
This is perfect. The DOJ's embarrassing snafu with disappearing redactions was the fault of Elon Musk. Musk cancelled government subscriptions to Adobe programs that would have made the redactions permanent. What a pack of fools.

As an incident responder who bills by the hour, I endorse this message. Keep shipping "slop that works" - my kid's college fund thanks you!
Can't wait for the loosened up, non-perfect, but quickly shipped AI-enhanced updates to hit my banking and insurance services next year.

Im sure there will be no issues there at all.

Anticircumvention laws were always bullshit, and now they’re pointless bullshit.
Just wow. @pluralistic.net.web.brid.gy came out swinging in this article. He's right though and that's the coolest part.

Criminals and thugs - and somehow more than normal this time...
ICE detain father shopping on Christmas Eve—then steal his family's groceries.

Then 3 agents divvy up his paid for food—taking what they want for themselves.

"Can I just get the wife's number to call and let her know?" woman asks.

"No, guess he should've complied," agent says.

12YO girl signed up to do “stand up comedy” at the talent show. 13YO boy decided to heckle her. Teacher started to tell the boy to leave her alone, but the 12YO comedian said “no, no, let him go, this is the closest he’s ever going to get to having a conversation with a girl.”
What's an insult you'll never forget?

Anticircumvention laws are some of the biggest horseshit in modern copyright legislation, so repealing them would be an absolutely massive win for humanity as a whole. Really hope this catches on worldwide!

I can’t believe they’re doing this to the only person on earth who’s won the FIFA peace prize.
President Trump’s spiteful defamation suit against the Pulitzer Prize Board may backfire, as the latter is now demanding Trump’s psychological records, prescription medication records, and tax returns in the discovery process. trib.al/LUCScTR

I legit will never understand why some people have a commercial grade can opener with 600 settings (none of them "just open the f*cking can"). And inevitably, it's right next to some cheap-ass cookware that guarantees whatever was in the can is getting ruined...
In every Boomer's kitchen is either a can opener that no longer works or a needlessly elaborate can opener that is "more convenient" but incredibly opaque to understand. There will be no other can opener.

Sports betting will be a major contributor to the downfall of America.
There’s absolutely no reason that we need people talking about parlays on national TV. I swear gambling is going to become an even bigger problem with the recession.

This isn't innovation, it's tax fraud as a service.
Another new a16z idea: giving letters of medical necessity to anybody so they can commit tax fraud

Between funding social media bot farms, crypto, and prediction markets, this company represents the new era where tech is mostly just for fraud

This is a constant issue, and I hate it. Every new JFK (re-)release inevitably results in people (and journalists!) talking about documents that have been public for years or even decades as if it were new.

Usually this accompanied by a recycling of conspiracy theories that miss the real corruption
The court document below is NOT new. I reprinted it in my 2020 book HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT when discussing Trump's history with Epstein. Others also covered it. It was publicly available. Garland of course knew too and protected Trump. And Dems protected and defended Garland. Why pretend otherwise?
Merrick Garland hid this from us for 4 YEARS,

and allowed this disgusting monster to be reelected

I’ve heard most journalists and politicians say that Trump hasn’t been directly accused of wrongdoing or implicated in the Epstein Files.

But, there are repeated instances of Trump being directly named as a perpetrator—by victims and by Epstein. It’s not circumstantial, it’s direct.
