One day I'm over at his house to discuss this newspaper strip idea we had and he's talking about who we might get to draw it. I was going to write it and we were going to get someone else to draw it. I'm not sure what Bob was going to do on it except sign his name. I said to him, 'Bob, isn't it disappointing to you that you don't draw any more? You were once such a great artist.' He wasn't but you had to talk to Bob that way.
He said, 'Oh, no. Let me show you something.' He took me into a little room in his house. It was his studio. I didn't even know he still had a studio. It was all set up with easels and things and there were paintings, paintings of clowns. honestly ive seen so many protest shots that they don't really have the biggest impact but reading about the 2 hour waits on the mpls metro and how there are still action groups everywhere doing what they can, that really hit me. there really are so many of us.

I just want people who are seeing the crowd pics to know, every single piece of Mpls infrastructure was strained to the limit today to get people there. I’m able bodied and prepared, was outside for 2 hours and still never made it bc our trains downtown were never meant to be packed like they were.

there was a brief and incredible period when yotsuba&! had a gorgeous logo and all lettering was with comicraft-level fonts. they must just cut and paste from text files now.
I’ve been reading a lot of manga lately and man some of these books would look so much better with decent lettering. wow do some American manga publishers cheap out on that. Crossbar Is used incorrectly, overuse of mediocre SFX fonts, etc
