I bring up this point because for the better part of the last 6 years, I've dedicated a large part of my life to helping trans people and thanking them for the community, acceptance and love I've found from them, and I've had to watch in horror as that community turned into political scapegoats.

The horrors of how untrue that was is all coming back to haunt them, but it still stays with the American people, as well as their victims, every single day.
