Please! My biggest non-security gripe with group chat based organizing is that many of us don’t have the time/energy to dig through 1000 new messages for a sense of what’s going on. Hence I’m usually an advocate for private forum-style comms in addition to chats, but this is a decent compromise.

Needless to say that Renee Good and Alex Pretti will go down as heroes here in Minnesota and nationally, their names synonymous with sacrifice and caring for vulnerable neighbors even at the risk of your own life. And hopefully no more innocent lives are lost.

it says above that "witnesses" have been transported to the Whipple Building. So they've detained witnesses?? And taken them to the building where they're taking people they've snatched off the streets?? Witnesses need medical and emotional care, not detainment.

This point really needs to be stressed. Jeffries deliberately leaked to the press that he wasn't whipping votes against ICE funding. The Democratic Party position is that this bill should go through, it's not just the view of the 7 people who voted yes.
But you see, these AREN’T the only 7 Democrats who supported giving ICE more money. The Democrats OVERALL support it. These 7 are just the latest rotating villains selected to take the fall while the rest pretend to oppose to fundraise. That’s why it’s always EXACTLY enough Dem support votes to pass

I don’t think people quite understand that the occupation by ICE in the Twin Cities has more or less erased non-white people from public life. They cannot safely exist in any space accessible to the public and moving between private places leaves folks vulnerable to kidnapping by armed masked goons.
