My generalization wasn't fair. Each generation makes their own decisions. Some of the boomers passed along their anti-imperialism / anti-fascism beliefs and some didn't.

I have Mennonite pacifists on one side of my family and draft-dodging conspiracy theorist Catholics on the other. In recent generations many have become Trump supporters. It's like all that anti-government sentiment was just self-serving after all.

The Florence Kiwanis president is Daniel Lofy. He loves to post Bible verses and does a lot of community service events... but more recently many of his social media posts are full of extremely pro-ICE, anti-immigrant, and anti-LGBTQ+ content. Ultra-MAGA folkkks.

Man, I remember when former Republican state house speaker Joe Straus said he opposed trans bathroom bans because “want the suicide of a single Texan on my hands.” How things change.
they literally do, though. Texans voted for a Republican-controlled state government which imposed a bathroom ban. in the real world, they chose this.

remember that things like literacy tests for voting were never applied equally either. we have seen this playbook run before.
The SAVE act would only disproportionately affect Republican voters if the Trump administration enforces the law equally everywhere

Under this administration, laws are not rules that apply to everyone, they are weapons to be used against their enemies
Oops! MAGA to be most affected by SAVE act.

Secure Democracy Foundation analysis of State Dept & census data shows states Trump won handily have the largest percentage of citizens without valid passports.

So MAGA just assumed citizenship was written on their faces?

I’m going to say this THEN bed/read.

If liberals think you elect Dems and get this horse back in the barn by “abolishing ICE alone” or reforms or a Dem Congress or POTUS…

By simply removing them off the streets.

Then we are cooked. And I mean all of us.

Republican Voters Would Be Disproportionately Impacted by Proof of Citizenship Mandates
Evidence shows Republican voters would face significant hurdles when exercising their freedom to vote – more than Democratic voters – under documentary proof of citizenship laws.

It is one of those nights again. When one person pops off, and generally always a longish follower. And a series of them start popping off right behind it.

Raising my blood pressure and causing blocks.
I get these cycles.

I again wonder if you don’t respect someone why the fuck do you follow?
