I was right.
But also, yesterday we had our first victory, the first step in climbing out of this very deep hole. Good work everybody. Let’s keep it up.

Well, here we go. The country, quite likely a majority of it, just returned a criminal to power over all of us. It’s going to be a rough time for keeping the Republic, if we can. I predicted in ear...

Impeach.
And.
Remove.

Democrats should be talking NOW about how Trump is committing numerous crimes and abuses of power and needs to be removed and put Republicans on the spot to defend him, as this sets the stage for a removal if Dems win Congress.

I realize this is not the point but, was this guy was attempting a roundhouse kick (the reason he put himself in the robot’s path)?

Because it ends up as a front kick going up. Perfect for the robot to hit him in the nads, useless for much else.

This is the best (worst) part: They lost in court, resoundingly. But they claim they won.

“So the State Department is citing a case that disproved government censorship as evidence of government censorship. That’s not even creative lying — it’s just citing your own loss as precedent.
Oh, hey, that's my article.
The U.S. government just banned five people from entering the country because it doesn’t like their speech. This ban, according to the State Department, is necessary to protect free speech.

If that sounds insane to you, congratulations on your reading comprehension.

If you haven't seen the 60 Minutes segment that was pulled and banned by the new MAGA Management of CBS, here it is. Please watch it, and share widely. Let your MAGA friends and family see it "accidentally."
Make sure everyone in the country watches.

WATCH: The 60 Minutes CECOT Segment
The full segment aired on the GlobalTV app in Canada. Someone sent me a link to a recorded version. Let's see if we can figure out whether Bari Weiss' decision to spike it was editorial or political.

If you want to hear what the corporate mainstream media isn’t pointing out to you, @katiephang.bsky.social is a great follow. Uncensored.
Phang: If that happened in January, how in the actual hell is Blanche now telling the American people that they suddenly discovered a million more documents?

GTFOH. As far back as January, the entirety of the Epstein files were transferred to Main Justice at DOJ…

🚨🚨🚨
This administration lied about the people it sent to an overseas torture prison. It lies about the people it’s deporting. It lies every day to gain political advantage. Not a chance in hell they won’t lie about huge swaths of people they suspect might vote for the other party.
This is very bad.

Billionaires are considering cutting or reducing their ties to California by the end of the year because of a proposed ballot measure that could tax the state’s wealthiest residents.

It’s uncertain whether the proposal will reach the statewide ballot in November, but some billionaires like Peter Thiel and Larry Page may be unwilling to take the risk.

ICE detain father shopping on Christmas Eve—then steal his family's groceries.

Then 3 agents divvy up his paid for food—taking what they want for themselves.

"Can I just get the wife's number to call and let her know?" woman asks.

"No, guess he should've complied," agent says.

Well yeah but that requires somebody who so clearly must be impeached that details can be worked out la— oh. Right.
Does anyone know the exact text of the impeachment article that got Andrew Johnson impeached?

Here it is:

"Resolved, That Andrew Johnson, President of the United States, be impeached of high crimes and misdemeanors."

That's it.

“I’m not doing anything but walking”

Yeah, just like the people you’ve been kidnapping. You’re lucky people are just shaming you.
ICE agent recognized out Christmas shopping—throws tantrum when citizens profile him.

"We're trying to prevent you from kidnapping our neighbors," they say.

"I'm not doing anything but walking, leave me alone!" he yells.

"Not right now you're not—but the past 5 days you have."

He’s having a conniption fit because things are not going his way and maybe people were talking about Christmas instead of him for a day or so. Solution to his mental distress: bomb Nigeria.

Sir Terry Pratchett is best understood as one of the most interesting, deeply ethical practical (I would say Pragmatist but I cede to actual experts) philosophers of the late 20th Century who just happened to work in deconstructed fantasy literature as his medium.

If the book screws this basic fact up so badly, just assume the rest of the book is the same garbage.

(I know, they’re not dealing in “facts”, but let’s just pretend.)
A small (personal) example of this book’s intellectual dishonesty:

My father-in-law is reading In Covid’s Wake, and excitedly told me he found a passage where I’m quoted. The quote in question is me saying the FBI worked to censor speech on social media.

Huh? When did I say that?!
