There is a group of people that are supposed to be composed in high stress situations, train for them in fact, get paid well for it, and are given very, very broad leeway on how they act, and yet they shit their pants constantly and cry about how scared they are all the time.
It's so fucking convenient that they get to "fear for their lives" anytime they want to absolve themselves of anything and when we actually fear for our lives because of them and do anything a scared person would do it's justification for our death.

Sorry, am I on a jury or a journalist reporting on this? Because I do get to opt out on watching a video that people from reputable outlets have watched and described. Me watching a woman die changes NOTHING about my position here. It just traumatizes me.
the administration is lying about every detail of today’s killing and we know that partly because of the video evidence. if the footage feels traumatizing to see, sorry, but that’s reality, and you don’t get to opt out because it makes you feel bad

Cannot be overstated that among conservative gun owners and the cops, there is no mournful acknowledgment that the dangers of this world might force them to use a gun in self-defense. There is gleeful longing for a situation where they would get to use their guns to kill and claim self-defense.
