I think I might take one of these "under 20 minutes" AI skills courses the UK Govt. seems very keen on everyone doing and live-post it here... Maybe we can all learn something together! The press release sends me to aiskillshub.org.uk/aiskillsboost/ - let's go and see!

My apartment sends out notices like, "um sweetie, you can't afford to heat your home in winter, set it to 60 and wear sweaters inside" and there are mice in the ceiling, but I have a bidet. Installed it myself on my lunch break and I'm never going back.

some people get real RIAA style 'this teenager STOLE ten MILLION dollars of music' about copyright when confronted with generative AI and i gotta say i'm not a huge fan

copyright is still an inadequate band-aid on a gaping wound at the heart of capitalism, even if can be used to serve our ends here

Two of these have been on my to-read list for a hot minute, partly bc I keep bumping into one of these authors at local events. Guess it's a reminder I need to buckle down and start reading.
After finishing my book contest judging duties, I chose to catch up on books by trans and non-binary authors, starting with these six. I enjoyed reading all of these and will read more by these authors!

In January, I'll be reading six more books by trans/non-binary authors, and I have some in mind.
