Execs always claim bloated budgets increase retail prices. This is a lie.
They will always increase prices to whatever they think they can get away with. Always have, always will. AI is merely a new get-richer-quicker scheme.

I could be wrong, but I feel like Game Pass was mostly worthwhile to people like me who bought like one or two games a year, so the price used to sort of even out. I’m sure it wasn’t super profitable that way, but it’s kinda like an unsolvable problem these services keep running into.
