NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Tax the rich. Greg Ryan in @bloomberg.com:
Millionaire Tax That Inspired Mamdani Fuels $5.7 Billion Haul in Massachusetts
A millionaire levy in Massachusetts that New York City mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani holds up as a model for taxing the rich has generated $3 billion more in revenue than expected without forcing...

Dear Humans,

Trump is in a full out panic. He hasn’t posted in 24 hours. It’s time to make him the pedophile formerly known as president. If you could do that God would be so happy.

Love,

Also those that piss.
It's weird that artists include painters, sculptors, poets, and dudes who escape.

Also, I saw something saying that it's number one of quite a niche and small chart that is easy to game.
So looking at the actual SF chronicle article, the only place this song is accruing notice is on Spotify, which is easily gamed by bots. If I were an AI proponent who desperately needed to boost the validity of my investment, this is exactly what I’d do.

Thinking today how homelessness runs through this story, through Epstein's (Virginia Guiffre had been homeless before meeting him), and even through Gaiman's (his nanny was sleeping on the beach when Palmer recruited her, and he used threats of homelessness against another victim).
The woman whom the House Ethics Committee determined Matt Gaetz paid for sex when she was 17 years old was living in a homeless shelter, working at McDonald's, and needed the money for braces www.nytimes.com/2025/11/13/u...

Reading about the rapid collapse of Eastern European governments in 1989 as completely rotten and corrupt leaderships disintegrated when people realised fear was all that was holding them up. Apropos of nothing.

I already do a Draft 0 when writing, so I don't feel constrained by the first draft. This is just a natural extension of that.
I'm waiting for the day someone calls the prologue 'Chapter 0' or 'Chapter 0.5' instead.

Just to confuse those weirdly prologue averse people. 😈

Always interesting to read what our Scottish neighbours think up North. Especially when it's @neilmackay.bsky.social shedding a different light on things than most of us down here in the Westminster bubble.
Starmer is finished. It will all be over come May’s elections when Labour goes down in flames. Scotland specifically will be his Waterloo. Far be it from me to assist the most unpopular PM ever, but he has one chance to save himself: campaign to reverse Brexit

My @heraldscotland.bsky.social column
Scotland will be Starmer’s Waterloo … unless he takes this one daring gamble
The Labour Party is now fighting like cats in a sack, and the Prime Minister risks being ousted after May’s elections unless he is brave enough to…
