re: this claim, there were several submitted challenges that contained made up rules that are not in any DFL governing documents claiming secret ballots are required. it is unclear if this was the work of AI or not

They unsurprisingly lost and HERO was repealed 61%-39%. It wasn't close.

Minnesota is one of the safer states for trans people… for now

I'll say it based on what I have seen tonight. About ~100 people participated in this meeting tonight and ~80 have voted for the TERFs and a solid ~30-40 of us have been voting for progressives. I am extremely concerned that the TERF vote is strong in this caucus and will be weaponized.

Was rummaging through old articles and found this one of Demetre Daskalakis. Apparently, back in 2013, he went to New York City's gay sex clubs and bathhouses and administered meningitis vaccines and helped beat an outbreak.

Trans rights are human rights, not “social issues.” To insist that trans people must bear the brunt of cis people’s discomfort is not in the same universe as DFL values.
The DFL’s national unpopularity will persist if it insists on complete agreement on social issues. Some convention attendees expressed discomfort with the bathroom arrangements. Telling them their feelings are invalid is more likely to drive them out of the party than change their minds.
