yes that's how writing works. it's a death race where the goal is to churn out more books than anyone else. the more books you churn the more writerish you are and you get a big shiny trophy that says Winning Writer on it
The whole article is repulsive but this passage is at the core of it. She has no interest in writing books, she wants to win some kind of competition that nobody entered

It's crazy to churn out 200 books a year with A.I. Why should anyone want to read a book that you couldn't even be bothered to write?

I don't see how self-publishing world survives GenAI. It's going to be an absurd increase in slop books with no reason to expect any increase in paying readers.

I think itβs worth keeping in mind that the specific church that was protested, inspiring these outrageous constitutional violations by DOJ, is part of the network of Christian Nationalist churches tied to Doug Wilson and attended by Pete Hegseth.
The fact that *both* of the churches that have made news in Minneapolis for pro-ICE links/positions have ties to the Doug Wilson-verse (which, for those keeping track, is who oversees the church Sec. Pete Hegseth now attends) feels like evidence that the universe's writers are just getting lazy.
