kind of funny that an olympian said they are here to represent "compassion, respect, and love for others" and some people automatically knew that was a statement against them

Absolutely right. Democrats backed a national ban on gerrymandering while Republicans pushed their advantage in key states. This evens things up but also draws us closer to real reform.
on the balance i think partisan gerrymandering is bad but the only way it ends is if democrats weaponize it against republicans everywhere they can. wiping out republican lawmakers in blue states might bring the GOP to the table to end the practice.

You should read this. It is the type of detail that experts in authoritarian regimes see as telling.
In this case, state agents are offered impunity from higher ups, and the legal system is rendered inoperative as a mode of accountability.

Kash Patel, a podcaster selected because of his fierce loyalty to the President, told FBI agents not to investigate the details on Renee Good's shooting because it would contradict the President. Fact matter less than the King's opinion in a personalist regime.

Two months after my dog passed i saw this dog online at the shelter. Immediately asked about him. They tell me he’s been adopted. Two weeks later they call to say the people brought him back. I was there that day and brought him home.😍

Today in "neither our media nor our political system is designed to deal with a far right authoritarian party"

Journalists never asked Mitch McConnell, e.g., why he was blocking Obama from appointing a SCOTUS judge after Republicans lost the 2012 presidential election.

Happy week, everyone!

I get this, but here's where I'm at:

Trump & Vance are the worst of us. America is bigger than them, and they win if we let them define us.
Team USA is the best of us. It's filled with Americans MAGA hates—first-generation + immigrants, LGBTQ+ athletes, people of color—& I'm gonna root for them.
I really really want these athletes to have a great experience, be competitive and perhaps win a gold medal, but, honestly, the thought of hearing "USA!USA!USA!" during their games kinda makes me cringe. If we were any other country the IOC would ask us to march under the olympic flag.

Do crimes??
The thing about a hound is that they are smarter than we are, they are practically boneless, and they have endless energy. They love doing crimes, they're sneaky as hell, and they are the best dogs

Started with hype and then consumed research resources until everyone realized some of the early papers were not reproducible at best, fraudulent at worst.

Hannah Natanson went to Harvard, which does not have a j-school
J schools really need to get better at teaching security, and newspapers need to get better at drilling it into their journalists. This stuff is inexcusable.
The FBI was able to access Washington Post reporter Hannah Natanson's Signal messages because she used Signal on her work laptop. The laptop accepted Touch ID for authentication, meaning the agents were allowed to require her to unlock it. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Is this why American mono-culture has completely collapsed??
