The best part is that umm, this was an open.

That means it’s literally not a gendered competition and there’s no separation for men and women.

She did this over something where she would very likely also go up against cis men.
USA Fencing says its decision to disqualify a female fencer after she refused to compete against a transgender opponent was in line with rules established by the sport’s governing body.

Stephanie Turner discarded her mask and took a knee in protest ahead of her bout against Redmond Sullivan, who is transgender.

One thing that could go wrong, for example, is Democratic Senators continue to vote to confirm completely unqualified Trump nominees, so sh*t like this keeps happening.

People will make it sound like Palestinians are soooo different than people in the West- but Mohammed was an accountant at a dentist’s office, he had a cat.

We are so much closer to Palestinians than anyone in power in the West.
I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Mohammed. Mohammed was working as an accountant in a dentistry center when this all started. He lost his job, his home and his little cat Zaatar. He is now trying to help his family including his sisters Jana, 11 and Asmidra, 4.

Just look at these paragraphs from the AP story.

Hegseth called Brown unqualified solely because he's Black. Then they fired him... and replaced him with a white guy so indisputably unqualified that he requires a Presidential waiver.

This is what "merit" means to them.

Holy smokes; this is a tough read, and AGU don’t come out of it well.

@holdingupthesky.bsky.social fills in some of the details and makes a call-to-action, although I personally understand if folks decide to dedicate their efforts to other organisations…
I want to see the American Geophysical Union (AGU) continue its awesome work on justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. This thread is a call to AGU and AGU members. 1/
