"Political violence" is a term that exists to suggest a moral distinction between "violence against politicians" and "violence by politicians" - so that one can be condemned while the other can be normalized. Obviously, no such distinction exists in reality: violence is violence.

Liz Cheney got purged because she said "Boo" to Trump. The only qualification to be a Republican now is to be pro-Trump. That's the one thing Liz Cheney didn't align with them on. Whatever Republicans tell Warner and Schumer on a cross-trainer in the Senate gym is a fart in a hurricane.
Republicans have been "on the verge of standing up to Trump" for a decade now. Centrist media loves this message but the reality is that Republicans have steadily purged opposition and are more dedicated to him than ever. Who gives a shit what they say in private.
Mark Warner on Republicans: "I do think we're getting close to them stepping up, but the problem is going to be, how much structural damage is going to be done before my Republican friends find their voice and voice publicly what they're already saying privately?"

Just read Tim Scott’s remarks on overturning the overdraft fee cap and I just — these people are the scum of the earth. EVERY word of it is such *unbelievably sleazy bullshit* masquerading (poorly) as concern for “hardworking Americans”. These people are such psychos. Astonsighly disgusting people.
