To all the young people in New York and across our country who count on gender-affirming care:

I won't let this administration come for you, your doctors, or your lifesaving health care.

Your health care is still legal and protected.

I'll always fight for you.

Brown has over 1,200 cameras and it wasn’t enough because cameras are a security blanket we’ve all been sold. They don’t prevent crimes and they barely solve crimes but in the meantime surveillance companies got rich and no one had to address the societal root causes of crime and violence.
Brown University has over 1,200 surveillance cameras. Why that wasn’t enough to capture video of the shooting suspect | CNN
CNN spoke to several security experts to better understand the growth of Brown’s surveillance system, why its cameras failed to capture the attack or suspect, and the concerns about privacy and academ...

There’s a whole thing in Hanukah about how you’re supposed to “publicize the miracle” except that there are all sorts of exceptions in times of danger.

Because the times that the Jews have lived under have not always been safe.

May the souls of the murdered in Australia be for a blessing.

We have a neighborhood Hanukkah event for the first night of the festival this evening. Making it a point to attend.

It could be worth while to see if there’s local to you, often they’re open to everyone! Safety through solidarity.

If tomorrow they made being undocumented a felony, it wouldn’t justify any of this. Things that are harmless or even good can be criminalized.

A church member at Urban Village Church sent this one along, where Mary, Joseph and Jesus are gone and replaced with a sign that reads: “Due to ICE activity in our community, the Holy Family is in hiding.”
