“Que bonita bandera es la bandera Puertorriqueña.”

OMG who is still riding off of the NFL Halftime Show of Bad Bunny where he showed what it actually means to be an American and to claim cultural independence in the face of armed erasure?

That was hands down the best halftime show ever. It was filled with so many references to Puerto Rican culture and history. The sugarcane fields, the casita, the streets of NYC, and the power lines. All of it resonated so much. Boricua por siempre.

The Super Bowl is right around the corner! While no trans folks are competing in it, @imarajones.bsky.social sits down on this week's episode of TLP to discuss where they fit in such a hyper masculine sport.

They won't - transphobia is NEVER about protecting children - it is about HARMING children, especially trans children.

I’m hoping that all of the transphobes who justify their unfounded views by claims of “protecting children” keep that same energy in the face of the release of today’s Epstein files.

the arrest of journalists in minneapolis, including don lemon, is more evidence that the only move the administration knows how to make is to use force, and does not know how to respond when that force is met with defiance and indifference.

The DOJ Civil Rights Division is full of Trump's most ideological allies. It suggests to me they're going to make some outrageous claim like Pretti was attempting to commit a hate crime against the agents.
JUST IN: DAG Todd Blanche suggested Alex Pretti shooting is under investigation by DOJ's Civil Rights Division, which indicates it is not being treated as an assault on federal officer but as a potential civil rights violation by the officers who shot Pretti.

The arrest of fellow journalist Don Lemon for exercising Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press is completely unaccetable. The ongoing targeting of our profession by this Administration pushes us further into authoritarianism. It’s unconstitutional and it has to end.

Today isn’t just about remembering the past. It’s about recognizing what’s being asked of us now!

This moment asks us to be present, to be discerning, and to resist the urge to check out. History doesn’t just record what happened, it reflects who showed up, who stayed silent, and who understood that solidarity is an action, not an identity.

It’s a reminder that the greatest harm isn’t always loud or obvious. More often, it shows up as disengagement. As comfort. As choosing not to intervene when the moment calls for clarity and courage.
