Not to get too into politics about what is a serious criminal matter but even a “moderate democrat” could easily win a purple seat if they ran on “release the Epstein files” as one of their campaign promises.
The usual suspects are telling Dems that Epstein won’t win elections, get back to “affordability” and I think my head might explode. www.offmessage.net/p/force-a-re...

this isn't an exaggeration, Greene took office after running unopposed because her opponent dropped out because of the death threats and harassment Greene directed at them. She was going to win anyway, didn't need to do it, just did it for love of the game (the game is being repulsive)
The entire conservative movement since about 2010 has operated by baiting its base into threatening anybody to the left of George Lincoln Rockwell, and often more than threatening them. That’s how Greene got elected and she can go to hell for all I care.

Identifying fascists is a thorough, methodical, and verifiable process.
On Monday, we published this investigation into "Exiles of the Golden Age," a fascist conference in Vancouver this July.

We identified 18 of the 50+ people our photographer captured outside the venue, including small business owners and neo-Nazis.

Here's how we did it. 🧵
Everybody Attending White Nationalist Conference Caught on Film
Advertised near-exclusively in white nationalist online spaces, promotional social media posts for the event include symbolism popular with neo-Nazis, including the kolovrat sun wheel and a table with...

Yes. And I'm careful to say "online discourse" because actual educators typically do not think like Josh does. Unfortunately many politicians and powerful people listen more to guys like Josh than to actual educators! bsky.app/profile/cars...
I work at a university and this guy is a massive asshole who would be laughed out of any room with actual educators in it. Accommodations help people succeed and are available to every student. It’s GOOD that people do better when they have support.

Weird how the TERFs never seem to consider this scenario something we should pass legislation over, huh
Listen to this Border Patrol agent cry about how he's going to be DOXXED after being arrested for drunkenly barging into a woman's restroom with a loaded gun, demanding a date from the woman inside, and then punching the arresting officers.

I found this excellent report on the hidden costs of ceding control of community health systems to religiously-run institutions with maps showing communities where they are the only option. It also lays out how this can facilitate discrimination.

People are talking about those who directly lost family which yes are absolutely the hardest hit but we also forget the other part. That even if you didn’t directly lose people, the fear that you COULD lose your loved ones or even your own life was extremely traumatizing on its own!
Every time Covid and learning loss hits the news, people act like the only factor is folk staying home and learning online, rather than… Living through a global mass death event.

Glad BlueSky did this. When I saw Patton Oswalt saying Megyn Kelly should be fed into a woodchipper feet first for defending raping children based on what age she thinks is okay, I thought, "yes, comedian Patton Oswalt is going to, in real life, feed Megyn Kelly into a woodchipper feet first."
patton oswalt has been suspended from bluesky for saying that megyn kelly should be fed to a woodchipper for justifying the sexual abuse of minors

hey remember how that one big tech ceo was on a panel in like 2021/22 where someone asked him about how remote work gave a lot more power to the workers and he chuckled and said “yeah well a little recession will take care of that”

I think about that often.
Just fucking insane to see the absolute (intentional) collapse of full remote jobs available for AAA studios in so short a time. Why would I EVER move for a job again when I could be laid off weeks after moving my entire life across the globe??
