every democratic voter who pays the slightest attention to politics: i am quitting my job to work full time in the campaign for any primary challenge to democrats

every democratic voter who doesn't pay attention to politics (85% of voters): I've seen schumer on TV a lot he's got my vote

the senate Democrats are all fine with the cave, and he admit it

(the stinky "voters" are not part of the Democratic Party)
Tim Kaine is on MSNBC accusing Katy Tur of "overdramatizing" the way he and some other Democrats caved. "This is by far a minor-league issue within the Democratic Party," Kaine said.
He's completely out of touch, or just lying.

i'm willing to bet my mentions had more posts about the shutdown in any given hour yesterday, than Nate's mentions had posts that weren't just the 14 words over the whole day

from Tesla to AI we have a whole textbook now on how letting companies skirt the law, because they promise huge economic and societal benefits if we let them, is disastrous

Sing, sing a song
Sing out loud
Sing out strong
Sing of good things not bad
Sing of happy not sad
As militaries develop and deploy AI systems, they create the possibility of machines asserting power over life and death, without regard for the laws of war and the vital doubt and restraint they require. But what if that "doubt protocol" could be coded in internationalpolicy.org/publications...
Can Complimentary Learning Methods Teach AI the Laws of War? - CIP
Training AI models on edge cases of war offers the possibility of hard-coding compliance with laws or war, or at least necessary doubts.

Democrats couldn't even get Democrats to bring up a bill Democrats agreed to bring up, but they'll definitely get Republicans to do it

watching punisher warzone and this guy wouldn't last five seconds in shadow moses I'll tell you that

"the supreme court was never going to take this case" ok, you were right

"and everyone who said they might was stupid or a grifter sowing panic" hmm well you said "they'll never take it" about a half dozen cases they not only took, but then ruled ludicrously on, so shut the fuck up

i think the fact that Obama was also this was even more demoralizing for a generation of people
i think an especially depressing part of this whole saga is that "we need to win primaries so establishment dems are replaced by true progressives" is a thing we've done before but one of the progressives we worked hard to install over the establishment pick was fetterman

give me a break
This is not a surprise to anyone who was closely following this case. It *ought* to be, however, a moment to reflect upon the responsibility (or not) of media outlets that, deliberately or not, led folks to believe that a grant was a serious possibility (which it never was).

remembering the end of 2021 where Biden got a series of big wins and the base was energized and the right was sobbing with snot running down their face so Dems decided they needed to put a stop to that and start eating shit instead
November 10, 2025 at 1:43 PM
im doing it again right now
"why don't you criticize Republicans" i have multiple posts fantasizing about Republicans being straight up murdered I think the only time i've done that for a Dem is Schumer, once

maybe Lieberman I can't remember

name a single time a prediction or analysis by a reactionary centrist has been novel and correct. you can't, yet they make up 80% of the VSP
the angry base has been right and the savvy "calm down" caucus has been wrong every step of the way for the last 10 years

there's a difference between "sometimes people should suffer more to hurt Trump" and "sometimes you can't stop the suffering so make sure they blame Trump" and lots of Dems and liberals have "which one we should do" backwards

Coprophagia levels off the charts
Senate Democrats are meeting behind closed doors to discuss the emerging deal. “Stay tuned,” Schumer tells us with a grin.

not that I trust dems but i AM beginning to suspect every "Dems about to cave" story since the beginning of the shutdown has been completely fabricated as a way to pressure Dems to cave

Elon is extra funny because he tries to mimic liking stuff and he's like "you know, like John Bladerunner. or when Gondor defended the Shire"
The JCO post about Elon not liking anything is something I've said before about a lot of politics poisoned posting addicts. People who never once post about a band they like or anything at all. There are so many like that.

you used to be able to buy one video game for sixty dollars. now when there's a steam sale you can buy over fifty vudeo games for sixty dollars. this means poverty doesn't exist
people can buy more stuff today than ever before, more or less. compared to more than 3-4 years ago and it’s not even close. we are vastly wealthier on average now than even within near living memory

yeah yeah the media lies, but the "betrayed Trump voters" stuff is so asinine, Trump may be one of the most "promises delivered" presidents in history. mass deportation of all brown immigrants, tariffs, DOGE, attacks on mainstream healthcare, transphobia, petty partisan lawfare
