"We can learn to design better, to listen better, to include better. The principle is simple. No one should have to fight for a seat at the table when the table belongs to all of us."

Our resilience is being tested from all sides, let's use every bit of creativity and interdependence we can.

The cruelty of this administration knows no bounds. It harms everyone, immigrant, disabled, parent, and child alike. All battles for human rights are connected. We must deconstruct false divisions and face state oppression with collective solidarity. #abolishICE
His name was Wael Tarabishi, he was 30, lived in Arlington with his family. He died Friday after an excruciating fight against a rare disease. His caregiver, his father, was abducted by ICE. Now they refuse him the right to assist to his son’s funerals. Pure evil.

Helping your disabled and elderly neighbors during big weather events is SO IMPORTANT
I can't do anything about so many problems.

But my neighbors are elderly. And I can clear the snow off of their sidewalk while it's still mostly powder.

It's cold outside and snowy, too! Is climate change a hoax?

Not at all. Winter still brings cold weather even as the planet warms.

In fact, warmer oceans + a rapidly warming Arctic can even increase the intensity of winter storms and heavy snowfall.

That's why I call it Global Weirding!

Public transit infrastructure will not reach its full potential as a sustainable transportation solution if it is not accessible. If we're serious about reducing vehicle miles travelled, we can, and must, do better at providing safe, accessible, inclusive public transport systems!

In the river Rhine, almost 70% of litter particles above 1 cm in diameter are plastics, most of which come from single-use items, often from private consumers, but they comprise less than 15% of all litter by weight, according to continuous monitoring over 16 months with a custom-made physical-interception litter trap.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.
