I had a bit of spare time this afternoon, so I finally managed to get round to writing my full explanation of why I am actually really glad Facebook closed down my account. If you are interested, you can read it here on my “Not All Of Them Good” newsletter: whitlockr.substack.com/publish/post...
Farewell Facebook – I’m not that sorry to leave actually
I realise I now I was thinking of leaving Facebook anyway, but in the end the decision was made for me...and I am glad about it.

Finally, Wordpress is just way too complicated, so the only viable one on that list is Pencilbooth, which, I am afraid, though quite nice, in no way matches up to Substack in terms of design and aesthetics, so unfortunately that means I am going to retain my Substack, but run Pencilbooth as well.
