Speaking as a stroke survivor, it would be really cool if people stopped blaming his shift to the right on his stroke, brain damage, etc. After my CVT, I had to relearn how to read, write, and speak, but you know what I didn't have to relearn? How to not be a racist asshole.

I sure hope it permanently takes down anyone who is implicated or ran cover for someone who is, and the sooner the better. When you clean out the stables you get clean stables.

Harm to SNAP recipients, federal workers, and others is real. In a normal democracy it’d make sense to prioritize reducing that harm in the short term.
In a rapidly backsliding democracy, harm is happening no matter what. Preventing authoritarian consolidation is the most harm-reducing move.
