I think we need to come to terms with how many people are vibes based voters, not fact based voters. Trump gave them vibes that immigration was an emergency & democrats largely ceded to that narrative.

I covered congress in the Obama years. And I am certain if any Obama official had acted liked this at a hearing, multiple republicans would have walked directly to the floor, not even stopping at their office, to file articles of impeachment. They would talk about it for weeks. Months.

it's super weird to me that they added a figure skating team competition to the Olympics fairly recently but then everyone acts like winning a team gold isn't as awesome as winning in their individual categories
