The flaw in America is always racism.

I truly believe that when a majority of White America puts racism and inequality firmly in our past, we will fulfill the promise of America.

With all the talk of this awful regime going after mortgages, changing them from 30 to 50yrs... I want to remind homeowners your current fixed mortgages cannot just be changed or modified without your consent. Trump and his GOP are just trying to destroy any chance at new homeownership.

OK wait a minute – – I remember the chatter at the time, and it was because white people always wind centering themselves. White protesters of certain kinds can never stand at the back of a crowd and allow others to lead, and be prominent doing so.
I'm sorry you feel that way but its not divisive or racist of me to point out what is going on. My friends and i had supported BLM for years until the seattle chapter told white people to stop coming.

Winding down to make up for last nights missed sleep. Rough times, friends, just know how grateful I am for all of you. Sleep sweet 🥰

Thank you, @murray.senate.gov & @cantwell.senate.gov, for standing up for Washington families & working to prevent millions from losing their health care.

I am voting no. This funding proposal fails to address the fundamental needs of the American people.
BREAKING: The Senate voted to end the 41-day government shutdown, setting the stage for the House to reconvene later this week to pick up the legislation and send it to President Trump’s desk.

I will do NO SUCH THING 😑
When are you guys going to grow some balls and go after Republicans?
If you’ve got a Senate Democrat who is not calling for new leadership, they’re part of the problem.

We should no longer trust Senate Dems who decline to come out against the leadership that led us here. Until proven otherwise, we should assume they were in on the game to fool their own supporters.

No one should doubt for a single second who is to blame for skyrocketing health care costs: Republicans and Republicans alone.

And families across the country will pay the price of Republican inaction every single month.

It's so much easier to blame everyone else but yourself for breaking bread with folks want to punish everyone who isn't like them. If you're silent, you're complicit. Remember that.

Should have voted for the brilliant Black lady.

Gutted by the Dems caving after the blue-wave wins of last week? Sick & tired of us snatching defeat from the jaws of victory? I hear you! Might I suggest you calm yourself, relax, take a deep, cleansing breath... then see if this photo of 2 pandas cuddling is of any help.

It’s okay because the Republicans promised to hold this exact same vote in a month
UPDATE: The Senate votes 53-47 to shoot down the Baldwin amendment to extend ACA funds for 1 year. A party-line vote with every Republican rejecting it.
An important vote in this series: Tammy Baldwin’s proposal to extend ACA expiring funds for 1 year. It’s structured as a motion to table (i.e. scrap it from the amendment tree). But it’ll show the appetite (or lack thereof) in the Senate to address this issue.

It matters.
Also, the Senate bill strips out the national abortion and trans health care bans.

Feels like that should matter.

Like, some of y’all are being straight evil. My uncle’s church is literally doing collections right now to get people food and diapers through the shutdown.
There is a human cost to indifference.

If you *actually* want to fight and win, then give Dems BOTH houses come midterms.
Lot of people telling on themselves that they have never even been slightly poor.
