EEAO, Oppenheimer, Banshees of Inishirin, Godzilla Minus One, Tár, RRR, Judas & The Black Messiah
One Battle After Another has been getting a lot of “best movie of the decade” talk, and I’m inclined to agree but I’m curious — what’s the competition?

Seeing Woman King, Nope, and EEAO in everyone's best of 2022 lists.

Ai avatar as a harbinger of a glossily bad opinion. Of the two EEAO is unquestionably the better movie no less

I dont understand the hate eeao got but im really here to say wow to that 70s to 40s list

In case it helps make more tears I strongly associate this picture with the following EEAO quote:

When I choose to see the good side of things, I'm not being naive. It is strategic and necessary. It's how I've learned to survive through everything.

i do think it is important to point out problematic/weird wacky things that some films portray as opposed to simply being mean towards movies with no problematic content (ie i didn’t love eeao all that much but it did get a lot of weird hate imo)

Anatomy of a Fall

But EEAO is def a close second
If this decade's Best Original Screenplay winners were in the same category, who would get your vote?

She was born in 2000, lol. Had other priorities growing up, probably. I think she said her parents didn’t let her watch shit.

She’s great, her reaction to EEAO is one of my favorite things I’ve watched this year. Angelina on YouTube if that’s your jam.

Watched eeao again. It's still peak.

Feels like the new EEAO

Sci-Fi movies I think are (substantially) better than the Matrix: Alien, Dune 2, Blade Runner (& 2047), EEAO, Way of Water, Starship Troopers, Across the Spider-Verse.
it's great, but matrix is literally the greatest science fiction film every made so

Honestly, it's cute! Given the world these days, I think we all need a Waymond every now and then...if you know, you know...

So is there a reason Hollywood seems to pick some of the least interesting Chinese celebrities right now to highlight outside of the cast of EEAO or

“Loki” S2: A welcome Ke Huy Quan appears, apropos after “EEAO,” and very funny!

Oh wow - that's disappointing.

Do you have more intersectional data? I celebrated Michelle Yeoh's Hollywood revival (arguably resulting from Crazy Rich Asians and EEAO), but can't get over the glaring omission of Marianne Jean-Baptiste's performance in Hard Truths from the 2025 #Oscars.
