Bondi shuffling through briefs, trying to cover up flailing in her cross-ex with volume: typical JV debater who isn’t cut out for this. Makes one octofinal in 10 tourneys and quits

Fwiw, in my reporting of the 2024 election I found the belief that the mass deportation stuff was just for show *very prevalent* among Trump voters. Including among naturalised, non-white citizens.

An odd occasion where voters assumed the candidate was lying and so didn't let it change their vote

RWNJ buying Telemundo was key
I read so many interviews with hispanic trump voters outright saying that "everyone knew" in their community that trump's actual plan was to grant mass citizenship to undocumented people and all the talk about mass deportations was just silly talk.

Epstein lower class
A Jan. 6 rioter pardoned by President Trump has been convicted of child molestation and other crimes after he tried to use an anticipated payout from the Trump administration to silence one victim, according to a Florida prosecutor's office.
Jan. 6 rioter pardoned by Trump is convicted of child molestation
Andrew Johnson tried to bribe a child victim with the promise of a Jan. 6-related payout, prosecutors say. Trump has discussed the possibility of compensating rioters, but no one has received any payments.

I know I’m fixating, but “shooting down party balloons and using it as a pretext for war” is literally the “99 Luftballons” story arc. 🎈🤯 (Even “Miami 2017” didn’t map this closely.)

Someone told me lately "Bluesky is just like Twitter." I argued that was untrue on the basis that last time I had a Twitter account most times I got a new follower their bio said "single & looking for fun" & here when I get a new follower it tends to say something like "professor of rare moths".

Citizens Utd. led directly to this ongoing billionaire heist
I'm still SHOCKED by the obscene rise in billionaire election spending since Citizens United in the NYT piece, despite already knowing that election corruption w/ $ was profound. (Recall that BCRA fought dangerous campaign $ in *2002*)

The article data didn't have a graph, so I made one to show it.

The cost of datacenters is getting expensive. Therefore I will build them on the Moon. Where I'll also be building my satellites. That I'll be yeeting into Earth's orbit with a giant space catapult. Because I'm all about low cost.

This might be the first hot take on how technology tells us how to live our lives, destroying our ability to make human decisions.

The technology in question is the sundial.

From a 3rd century BCE Roman adaptation of a Greek play, as discussed in Kerr’s “The Ordered Day”

(It isn't wrong, though)

I had two clients moved within an hour of ICE learning we were looking for them and advising us there was not plan to move them.

A family of four moved 36 hours after a court order forbidding them from being moved.

3 other clients moved within a day of court-ordered injunctions.
