#Reticent
Same, some characters just tap you on the shoulder and demand their story be told. It’s the reticent ones that get really interesting. They pull you deeper into the world and force the filling out of the world building and plot.

You never lost your job. It wasn't like you didn't know where it was all of a sudden.

Strange how even after all this time, I'm still reticent to drop the tea on all my former employers publicly.

The bastards.

interesting. pattern last time I asked was a bit more reticent about label in display name (bc felt like it would reduce interesting interactions to always be marked right inline) but very happy to have it in bio.

WHEN THE FIRST ONE BITES A BULLET THE REST WILL BE RETICENT.

A targeted divestment campaign would be effective, in my view. But SEIU has been extremely reticent to take on CalPERS and the rest of the pension mafia in my experience

Sure, most (but not all) big oil & mining companies are reticent about Venezuela & Greenland. But that doesn’t mean there’s no an economic logic to Trump’s aggression. Control of resources is vital, not least in case they fall under the control of China

The Tech Billionaires Behind Trump’s Greenland Push
Silicon Valley oligarchs like Peter Thiel and Marc Andreessen have much to gain from Donald Trump’s seizure of Greenland, both as a source of rare earth minerals to feed the AI boom and as a site for ...

We shouldn't be wondering why so many students (I'm in the US) are reticent to ask for help or almost apologize for asking for accommodations that they have.

If only the bureaucrats were quick to adapt to the times ;-)

Totally stupid how demands for saving is at odds with sovereignty.
Good France and Germany are trying to ditch the big US tech platforms, even if Bayern is reticent to give up it's affair with Microsoft

For someone as reticent as the duelist, the real Furina's explosiveness was quite the surprise.
As for Furina, she still knew not where to go, but if nothing else, she now knew that "freedom" did not mean solitude.

Wait until you meet our peaceful Canada Geese, timid pigeons, and the reticent raccoons.

My thing is I write better when I'm altered, either tipsy or high. I can "tap in" and it all flows. But I can't be in that state of mind too often, and I only have alcohol, so I'm reticent to try to get back into it as a habit.

Just like three, maybe four, weeks ago I was saying that Swerve was still getting used to his new size and a little reticent in the ring after his surgery.

Now he's doing this sort of stuff already. Ridiculously good signing.

Viv talking about the act structure of HH. Maybe it's the ADHD, but I feel like I really gel with the pacing of this show? It felt really overt to me that S1 was only half an act.

It's also why I'm reticent to talk about the show as only four seasons. The STORY is five!

I'm glad to see you say this, Senator, and as your constituent I will remember it. And you can be sure I won't be reticent to remind you of it, if I ever catch you voting for a bill that funds DHS. It's abolition or nothing, now, as it always should have been.
Right now, Democrats have the power to defund and abolish ICE. We should do it. This is about right and wrong—and the murder we are seeing on the streets is just plain wrong. Anyone who supports funding DHS and ICE is supporting the murder of Americans. We can stop this.

The vast majority who incline towards blaming the single man are reticent to acknowledge the rest and therefore oppose any meaningful pressure being applied to Israel writ large out of the thin hope that he'll be replaced by the Jewish equivalent of De Klerk.

Honestly he's quite reticent about his own opinions so it's hard to gauge what he might think himself. I can see him earnestly listening to others debating it, though.

After Wheel of Time I am still reticent about the sort of stuff they mightr change, but less so because, there are some parts in the second and third novels that absolutely could use some remixing

that first one is perfect though. I need it, and I need it mostly given straight

I’m reticent to jump to AI, given how many of the folks involved with Play To Z seem to be anti-GenAI.

Yes! Once I have the recipes I want down, bake a few big batches on Sunday. I can do the batter/dough in a large batch and do a few turns in the oven. I might also just make Sunday a kitchen day and start trying some of the recipes that have to sit/simmer that I’ve been reticent to try.

Their failures have created the conditions for someone like him to succeed. I'm not sure why you expect others to be reticent to point that out. That they show no sign of even recognising their failures, much less working to address them, should trouble you.

Why is it that people are often so reticent to use their words to communicate, and instead, choose to resort to ambiguous hints that don't explain anything except their displeasure?

Like, I know you're signaling something, but I have no idea why, much less what the fuck I'm supposed to do about it.
