Any Remeikis - nails it, again ... "Clowns to the left, jokers on the right ..."

"Publicly, & privately, Labor MPs will tell you their agenda & focus is about hope."

"But hope without action is just a buzzword."
Clowns to the left, jokers on the right – voters stuck in the middle
A good chunk of the parliament is focused on nothing more than wrenching the social fabric even further apart – who are they governing for?

The Epstein emails should really end the debate over whether society should have billionaires. "Do you want there to be a class of people so powerful they can fuck your kids and no one will even try to do anything" seems like an easy sell if everyone in politics wasn't trying to get on their payroll

“In order to grieve, we need this genocidal cretin and president of apartheid Israel to visit, we simply can’t otherwise” is an absurd and obscene demand. Literally trying to use the dead to normalise a war criminal. As usual, there is zero self-awareness as to what this reveals about their values.
somebody please organise an opportunity for that community to grieve.

Please support Lamestream. They’re doing the best media and political analysis in the country. Priceless stuff.
The coverage of One Nation this week has been some of the softest coverage of any political force, ever. It's been a shocking week.

I think people would be shocked to realise how it compares to what journalists were asking Pauline Hanson 25 years ago.

The Media Forgot How to Cover One Nation Properly
Three decades ago, Pauline Hanson’s brand of politics was so shocking, aberrant and dangerous that it made the front page of The Washington Post. This week, Australian journalists gave her the softest...

If one extended family was killed in Britain, it'd be the crime of our century.

Our population is 69 million.

In Gaza, Israel exterminated more than 2,700 extended families.

Their pre-genocide population was 2.2 million.

Don't forget Gaza 👇
A new study on the Gaza genocide should shock you:

Just your regular reminder that John Howard never pushed back against Pauline Hanson and One Nation policies. He embraced them, which is how he outflanked them, while also setting the stage for what the Liberals are today. The myth that he 'pushed back' truly needs to die.

The public needs to get better at owning forms of media and setting up ownership structures so they remain in public hands in perpetuity and can’t be pawned off to oligarchs as soon as they start to become popular/valuable.
Just a reminder that both Ilhan Omar and Maxwell Frost have been attacked this week.

No outrage by right-wing media or even corporate media.

Now imagine if this were done to Republicans.

The entire system is rigged in favor of conservatives, folks. The double standards are just wild.

After the horror at Bondi we saw that leadership on violence and racism is possible with political will.

The same urgency is needed on rising threats against First Peoples.

Imagine having a government that was trying to extricate itself from the US software hegemony.

Instead, our PM is handing sovereignty and agency over like a good little colonist.

So tired of feeling like this, you know?
France announced today it’s phasing out Teams, Zoom, etc. to be replaced with a French/European solution called Visio. The data is hosted on Outscale. Transcripts and subtitles are also handled by French providers. The target is set on 2027 for government agencies.
