i am so sick of the dumbest people alive being in charge of everything and the second dumbest people alive writing opinion columns about how it's good
Just when you think you can't say "what the actual fuck?" any further, Labor appoint Christopher fucking Pyne to a three year sinecure.

Disgusting doesn't even begin to describe things.

This is grotesque, irresponsible, reprehensible, irredeemable, and flat out fucked.

Not “challenges”. They’re choices. 😡
CSIRO to cut up to 350 research jobs in major overhaul
After 440 positions were slashed last year, the CSIRO has announced more staff cuts across the country in a bid to remain financially viable.

It's scumbags all the way down. What the actual fuck is wrong with these people?!
NEW: I have obtained, under FOI, a secret Department report that initially recommended the Targeted Compliance Framework - aka, the unlawful "mutual obligations" scheme

It reveals that, like Robodebt, they recklessly built this thing to punish "entitled" frauds who never existed

1. they were never educated (esp "ipad generation") & don't know how computers work

2. our tools and services are all SO AWFUL NOW, degraded at best, actively user-hostile at worst

Antoun Issa's forensic, brutal takedown of the Guardian's inner workings & the patronising, racist, neo-colonial marginalising of POC there & framing of genocide in Gaza is really worth your time. Liberal white feelgood Australia laid bare. Starts @ 57mins. Excellent stuff from Sunday Shot.
Sunday Shot is on now. Jo and I are joined by the editors of Deepcut News and Meanjin, to talk about the news of the week and doing media in and around Zio bullshit. @antounissa.bsky.social and Esther Anatolitis.

Everyone is paying attention to the toddlers having a meltdown, we really should be looking at what the supposed ‘adults’ in the room are actually doing. That’s what actually matters.

To be clear, what the LNP did is awful and utterly embarrassing, but they're so irrelevant politically it doesn't really matter.

What the _media should really focus on_ is how genuinely bad Labor's EPBC reforms are on climate! And, surely now Labor can't do a deal with the LNP, can they? ;)
